Graduates and Alumni
If you ever lived in a Boys Town Nevada home, Tom Waite and his staff would love to hear from you – email, call or just drop by. It is always good to touch base, catch-up and reconnect. We have tons of photos and lots of memories to recall. There may be opportunities where we can help each other.
We still hold Awards Nights twice a year, generally in March and August. Alumni and graduates are always invited to join us and share their experiences. We also welcome alumni to Thanksgiving Dinner with Elmer Marshall, a growing 14-year old tradition.
If you would like to connect with other alumni from Nevada contact Tom Waite, C.E.O. at waitet@boystown.org or his assistant Marc Cannon at cannonm@boystown.org. We look forward to developing a list of addresses and e-mails to put all our alumni in touch with each other.
Ambassadors Group
To provide help and support to graduating seniors and even prepare some of our juniors, we created an Ambassadors Group which connects our alumni with current youth who will soon leave Boys Town to assist them with the realities of being on their own. The Group generally meets monthly to share a meal and discuss any current issue seniors might be struggling with as they plan and prepare to leave their Boys Town home (i.e. housing, jobs, budgets, transportation, etc.). Even though the preparing graduates might “know” what to do and how to do it, the true reality from alumni who have actually experienced it often helps significantly. Whenever you left makes no difference, as your input and advice is extremely helpful to those following after you. Contact Tom Waite at 702.642.7070 to get involved.
